Posole, a rich and tasty Columbian soup, is a comfort food we don’t often make at home. Not only because it is thought to be time consuming, but because here in New York, we might be inclined to think someone else can make it better! Let’s shatter these myths and learn how to make our own posole at home. As part of our Make Your Own Take Out series, we’ll see how quick and simple it can be to make a complete and healthy meal, both filling and satisfying after a long day away from home. We’ll use seasonal ingredients to create layers of flavor, not only for the soup itself, but for a specialty cocktail, seasonal guacamole and salsa and even homemade tortillas. Tessa Liebman was born and raised in Brooklyn and is completely not surprised it has become the culinary mecca that it is.
