Bengali Banana Leaf Wrapped Fish, Mushroom Masala, and Chola

- Fish in banana leaf (fresh Yelloweye Cod)
- Mushroom Masala
- Plain rice
As you walk into the class, you’ll be greeted with some hot chai.
We will begin this class by preparing some Chola, which is also known as Chana Masala. As we eat it, we’ll start to prepare the main courses. This is an authentic Bengali meal planned around a unique fish dish. This delicious fish dish is marinated with herbs and spices, wrapped with banana leaves, and cooked. Words cannot describe how smoky and tasty this dish is; my mouth is watering just writing about it! Some mushroom in a thick spiced sauce will go very well with this, and some rice on the side makes this meal just about perfect!
Warning: the cooking process is strongly fragrant.
