Topic 1: Winding Up (Liquidations) of Companies and Creditors' Statutory Demands - Practical and Useful Advice.

Trevor's presentation will deal with the circumstances in which a Court can order the winding up of a company pursuant to section 459C (2) (a) of the Corporations Act 2001 ("the Act"). This section deals with the situation where a company is presumed to be insolvent where it fails to comply with a creditor's statutory demand served on the company in terms of section 459 (F) of the Act. Trevor's presentation will provide practical and useful advice and will deal with how a creditor or debtor company can and should deal with creditor’s statutory demands which is an issue about which all businesses should be aware given its commercial and practical implications.
