Works that will be covered in this workshop:
-chi energy activation techniques
-basic movements of Taichi that you see in most Taichi forms
-a crash course on Taichi push hands!
Attire: loose fit / relax fit clothing, running shoes (That's it! ^^) Try not to wear jeans because it limits certain movements.

What is Taichi?
Taichi, aka Taijiquan, is an infamous ancient Chinese martial art known for its smooth, gently and slowly-paced movements, often seen as an elderly dance / exercise in the Chinese community. However, despite the seemingly slow and fragile looking movements, Taichi is widely practiced around the world and recognized as an exercise which could provide many health benefits, as well as improving the ability of all forms of martial arts.
To a Taichi martial artist, having a healthy physique, internally (internal organs in good condition) and externally (proper spinal-alignment and muscular coordination for greater strength) are both essential to achieve the highest potential of human performance; in essence, the movements of Taichi teaches the practitioner to improve health and develop martial power, along with the use of chi (internal energy, aka aura in the western culture) for self-enlightenment.
There are various versions of Taichi in existence, due to the different personal experiences between different Chinese martial art masters. However, like many different sports, arts or spiritual pursuits, the principles of all Taichi schools are all based on the same universal principles; proper alignment, proper breathing, proper movements, and a positive, persistent attitude.
