On May 19th, LA CANVAS Magazine is taking over a 100-year old ballroom in Downtown LA for a night that’s a little classy, a bit ridiculous, and decidedly debaucherous.
We’re talking PROM, because everyone could use another—and this time the chaperones will be the ones spiking the punch. Romantic yet gritty, fancy yet frivolous, The DTLA Prom will evoke the spirit and energy of Baz Luhrman’s Romeo & Juliet, encouraging guests to wear anything from party dresses to space suits to angel wings, masks being the bare minimum.
Expect a beautifully decorated party at the historic Alexandria on Spring St., live entertainers, some of LA’s best DJs, signature cocktails, a midnight toast, gift bags, prizes and more.
