Come see new theatre exploring themes of love, lust, trust, and redemption at the Open Fist.  The festival will highlight four major productions running in repertory and also include six staged reading and concerts running July, August and September.

 

FERNANDO by Steven Haworth

Directed by Charles Otte

Part farce, part love story, Fernando tells a tale of passion and intrigue in the Madrid art world.  Love, Art, Sex and Death.

 

GOLIATH by Karen Hartman

Directed by Marya Mazor

In the contemporary Middle East, who is David and who is Goliath?

A single tense day during the 2005 Israeli pullout from Gaza begs the question.

SAM AND LUCY - by Brooke Berman, directed by Caitlin Moon

The play deliciously, playfully explores layers of family mythology and questions about the nature of love until reaching its final heartbreaking end-note.

OLD ACTOR FIGHTS - by Rick Pagano, directed by Alex Wright

In a not-so-distant nightmare future, the hot new reality show on TV is Old Actor Fights!!, which pits two actors in a ring to fight for roles.

LIDLESS - by Francis Ya Chu Cowhig, directed by Martha Demson

A former Guantanamo detainee dying of liver disease journeys to the home if his former U.S. Army interrogator 15 years after their time together.
