Family, Friends, and Colleagues,

As part of my philanthropic endeavour, I've been nominated on behalf of EMC Corporation to run for the Man/Woman of the Year Campaign in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is such an incredible honor for me personally to raise money for a cause that touches so many of our lives. As part of the campaign, we will be hosting this fundraiser to support this amazing organization.

Please join us on June 2nd, 2012 from 2pm - 6pm at The Guglielmo Winery (1480 E. Main Street Morgan Hill CA 95037) to attend an afternoon of goodwill, fun, and the sun to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Enjoy an Italian buffet and appetizers, wine and other assorted beverages, silent auction, and point of sale.  Every dollar generated can make a difference and every difference can save a life.  Hope to see you there! 

Details about the Boy and Girl of the Year:

Antonio was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2011. It was stage four and was spreading very fast, so fast that Antonio was rushed into treatment. "Finding out that your child has cancer is the hardest thing you can as a parent," Riki, Antonio?s mom told us. His parents? had very little time to make a decision and his father remembers wondering if they made the right decision when they saw how hard the treatment was. "It makes you wonder was this the best method, or are there better ones we just didn?t have time to research?"

 Antonio was in the hospital for almost 5 months, because the treatments made him so sick it was hard for him to be at home.   He is now in remission and will be continuing down the road of recovery for 5 years.

 Maria is a beautiful 6 year old girl.  In April 2010 Maria was taken to the hsopital because of abnormal fatigue and bruising.  She was diagnosed with ALL and immediately admitted into the hospital.  After spending 30 straight days there, she was able to go home.

 She continues to receive her treatment regimen and her family hopes for remission very soon.  She is continually monitored by her oncologist and will be for the next five years.  She is a beautiful girl with a positive and inspirational spirit.  Her family credits the much needed support and financial aide provided by LLS as a source of strenght when they had so many questions and did not know where to turn. 

There are those who inspire

That is the mantra I have adapted

And why I've chosen to lead.

I pray a cure for cancer

Will come to fruition, faster than lightning speed.

I will do everything I can 

To generate revenue for cancer research

For the forgotten, the neglected, and the ill

Through sheer determination, compassion, and goodwill.

I will honor and pay tribute

To those we've lost, those who are battling, and those who have survived.

I'm dedicated to working in the present and the future

To profoundly impact lives.

But for every question there is an answer

And throughout periods of darkness

We mange to find the light.

Thus, I humbly and respectfully ask you

To become the champion 

And deliver the knockout blow
