The
Internet and how it is used has changed dramatically over the last few
years. New tools have emerged that influence how we communicate with
our clients, prospects, colleagues, and friends. Learn how and when to
use the latest new media tools to engage, listen, communicate and
collaborate with others.
On June 3rd at the South Shore Science
Center, in Norwell, Reiko Beach (Geek Girl Camp) and Tom Beach (TRB
Design, Inc.) will present how and when to use the latest new media
tools to engage, listen, communicate and collaborate on the web.
Topics covered will include: Important changes in website design and
construction, blogging, social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin,
YouTube and Flickr), tools to get news (readers) and searches, email,
email marketing, what they are and why use them for both business and
personal advantage.
The Norwell Chamber of Commerce holds regular meetings featuring guest speakers and special programs. The Chamber also presents annual merit college scholarships to local high school students and honors a special business and an outstanding citizen each year.
