A brand new training featuring Dr. David Mays on the new DSM slated to be released in 2013!!
Less than a year from now, mental health professionals, insurance coders, healthcare administrators, and numerous other people of interest, will have a volume of DSM-5 on their desks. The new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is more than just a cosmetic change in diagnostic categorization - it represents the most dramatic overhaul of the system in 30 years. While we can't be certain what the final form of this revision will look like, at this point we can have a pretty good ideas of the basics. This workshop will go through the proposals for each of the new categories (including the new Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders) and old revisions (completely modified Personality Disorders.) To prepare for this coming challenge, we will use case examples to practice our skills.
The nuts and bolts of the training:
- Registration and Continental Breakfast: 8:30am
- The training will run from 9am-3:30pm
- Lunch will be provided
- 6 CEH Certificate provided at the end of the training
