GMSP will be participating in “3rd Annual Ride Straight State to State: Three States, Two Wheels, One Cause” on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Blakely, Georgia.

Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is co-sponsoring the ride with motorcyclists from Georgia, Alabama and Florida who will be riding with one cause in mind - to promote riding straight and to never drink and ride.

  • Riders will meet in Blakely, GA at the Early County Courthouse on May 3 for a 10:00am press conference to kick-off the ride.
  • Ride will end at U.S. 231 Welcome Center at the Alabama / Florida State line (just west of the Georgia / Alabama border).  There will be a welcoming committee consisting of local media and law enforcement to greet the motorcyclists as they arrive at the welcome center. Lunch will be provided for all
  • Optional ride together along US231 to Panama City to attend Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally.

You can register individually or as part of a group or club.

Anyone wanting to participate in the ride is encouraged to meet at Early County Courthouse Parking Lot at 9:00 am on May 3. Please also be sure to wear appropriate protective gear including DOT approved helmets during the event.
