Event Details

During these uncertain economic times, it is now more than ever important for all non-profit employees to have a basic understanding of their respective organization’s financial picture. However, this vital financial skill set is often under-developed within the sector, especially for grassroots CBO’s that may not have an experienced financial team.  Please join YNPN-NYC on May 13th from 6 – 8 PM at the Support Center (305 Seventh Avenue @ 27th Street, 11th Floor, New York, NY) for a finance and accounting seminar led by Amy Karson of Easy Office, a social venture dedicated to providing affordable finance and accounting services to non-profits.  You can find her full biography below.

During the session, we will discuss a number of topics pertaining to non-profit finance best practices, including:

  • Financial Accountability
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Budgeting
  • Bookkeeping
  • Management and Financial Reporting

This event is open to all non-profit professionals, especially those with limited finance experience (e.g. non-accountants handling financial records, program managers/directors responsible for budgets).  We look forward to seeing you on the 13th!

This event is free to current YNPN-NYC members (who have paid their annual membership dues) and $5 for general admission.

Warmest regards,

The YNPN-NYC Professional Development Committee
