This full day workshop is designed to give the aspiring fly fisherperson exposure to the basics of fly fishing. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the science of fly fishing, aquatic entomology, the art of fly fishing, fly tying, how to fly cast, the basic knots used, and more. This program is designed for beginners. $10 materials fee covers all fly tying and fishing materials. Fishing license required. Ages 13-adult.
If time permits, those participants who have purchased a Colorado fishing license will be given an opportunity to use their new skills by fishing the stocked lake in the park. Please bring lunch, water, sunscreen, insect repellent and rain gear. Please meet for class at the kiosk near the Depot at Pine Valley Ranch Open Space Park.
Ages 13 - Adult. Participant limit: 12
Please note that, due to tremendous interest in this program, registration will not open until 9:00 AM on May 2nd. This will ensure that online and phone registrants have equal opportunity to register.
