Spring, 2010. The Secret Lives of Ministry Wives (SLMW) is a musical that seeks to expose some lesser known (hidden) truths behind the lives of people in ministry. It seeks to demystify the lifestyle and address social issues that affect people on both sides of the pulpit.

SLMW follows the lives of five ministry couples as they face obstacles that lead them down the road to finding the real meaning of friendship, forgiveness and faith. Such obstacles include the challenge of having to put a family back together after a minister in training walks through a door that God didn’t open; a wife that’s questioning whether or not she should leave her abusive husband who serves as the minister of music; an overbearing and verbally abusive wife whose husband needs to come into his manhood; and a bishop whose wife is fed up with living with the façade of a happy marriage as the reality of his infidelity is made undeniably clear.

It is the intention that theater-goers walk away from the experience of SLMW with their thoughts provoked and their hearts pricked, as these characters and songs were developed to bring about a change in the human condition…one audience at a time.
