Education for New Jobs for a New Music Industry

The First Music Unconference, Detroit09 MusicBizCamp.
Approved volunteers and presenters who submit a summary that gets approved get a free ticket. Anyone attending can present without approvals. Attendees vote with their feet as to who they go see.
Come for the Unconference and stay in Detroit for the Electronic Music Festival, May 23 - 25.

MusicBizCamp
is for “music people” to get together and share their knowledge and
experiences, whether or not you are a musician yourself. Bloggers,
photographers, videographers, web designers, promoters, event planners
and people with general organizational skills are all a part of the mix
necessary to build a new music industry. Read about the poster boy for
building a successful music career with a new business model, Jonathan Coulton in the NY Times. The idea for MusicBizCamp from monthly meetups in different cities to establishing Unconferences with a global draw was started by Ron Suarez of Loud Feed.
Unconference
An unconference is a facilitated participant-driven face-to-face
conference around a theme or purpose.Our first unconference is being
planned for Detroit to overlap with the beginning of the Detroit
Electronic Music Festival in May, 2009. In the spirit of all Open
systems, we invite any and all to participate and come to Detroit for
the first totally music centric focused Unconference.
