Become Certified in Emotional Intelligence
South Burlington, VT
The Vermont Association for Psychological Type is proud to host Dr. Roger Pearman, CEO of Leadership Performance Systems, Inc. and Qualifying.org, Inc. on May 29 – June 1, 2012 in Burlington Vermont. This is an incredible opportunity to become certified in Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and learn about the important interplay between EQ and Personality Type.
EQ-i 2.0 Certification
May 29th and May 30th from 8:30am-5:00pm
Enhancing emotional intelligence (EQ) enriches relationships and improves your health. Knowing what the areas of potential enrichment can be and how to do it are two immediate outcomes of using the EQ-i 2.0 assessment. The EQ-i 2.0 is the most researched and globally used measure of emotional intelligence available. The two-day workshop will provide you with multiple application strategies for using the assessment in your work. The training program involves four elements: pre-workshop interpretation of your report, pre-workshop e-learning modules, the application workshop (two days), and on-line certifying exam. The e-learning modules give you a foundation for understanding the structure of the tool and its associated reports. We will explore ways to present EQ-i concepts and interpret reports with individuals and groups.
Personality Type and Emotional Intelligence
May 31st from 8:30am-5:00pm
Do you want to:
- Improve your own health and well being?
- Be more effective when addressing conflict?
- Increase your listening effectiveness with others who are different?
- Motivate others more easily?
- Be more interpersonally savvy?
Using your type to elevate your emotional intelligence will help you achieve these goals and much more. It is no accident that the fundamental elements of emotional intelligence map the building blocks of psychological type as sorted by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (or any reputable assessment of type). Your personality type is interdependent on your emotional intelligence for effectiveness. Fortunately, you can use your personality patterns to elevate your overall emotional effectiveness. This workshop will provide you with practical action tips for increasing your emotional intelligence through the use of your personality type strengths
You will walk away with:
- An introduction to Type and Emotional Intelligence
- Deeper insights into your emotional linkages to your type so that you can make healthier choices
- Top ten action tips for accelerating your use of type and emotional intelligence factors
- An understanding of the key competencies of emotional intelligence and how your type can help you learn them
This interactive workshop is for certified EQ professionals. We will engage with numerous targeted experiential connections with your type and emotional intelligence concepts. Reporting on research that only Roger Pearman has published linking type and emotional intelligence will punctuate the experience with grounded evidence.
Accelerating Development with the Effective Use
of the EQ-i, Type, and Learning Strategies
June 1st from 8:30am–5:00pm
Certification in the EQ-I 2.0 is not required to participate in this program. In this workshop, you will be exposed to the key constructs of the underlying model of emotional intelligence on which the assessment is based. This workshop will analyze various techniques and strategies for using the EQ-i and personality type related models. You will examine applications in three settings--training, coaching and teaming. Patterns of responses to EQ factors are understood through the lens of personality type. As a trainer, coach or facilitator, you will experience the application activities and debrief the insights from both the participant level and trainer/facilitator level to make future utilization easy and relevant.
