A letter of credit is an instrument used in international trade (export/import) as a method of payment. It helps both the issuer (buyer) and the beneficiary (export) for protection in the transaction. Several features can be added to a letter of credit to reinforce its security as confirmation and irrevocability. The main purpose of the letter of credit is to facilitate international trade.
Attend this session to learn how to acquire and use a letter of credit properly and discover how its various add on features can benefit and protect you!
This session will also introduce you to the new Ohio International Market Access Grant for Exporters (IMAGE) program.
Eligible companies seeking to expand their export activity could qualify for a state grant of up to $6,000 to support initiatives designed to promote their products and services in new international markets.
