Do you love baby animals? What about baby cheetahs or gorillas, photographed in their natural habitats? Bring your family to meet Bay Area award-winning photographer Suzi Eszterhas at the launch of her new children’s book series, Eye on the Wild. This series, beginning with CHEETAH and GORILLA, follows the baby animals from birth to adulthood. Join us to purchase a copy of these books signed by the photographer, and to view beautiful, large prints from both books. Suzi will also tell family-friendly stories about her adventures in Africa, India and beyond - from the delightfully gross to the wonderfully cute. Recommended for ages 4 to adult.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of Suzi’s books will be donated to the Wildlife Conservation Network. WCN is based in Los Altos, CA and currently supports twelve wildlife projects including two for cheetahs: Cheetah Conservation Fund and Cheetah Conservation Botswana.
California-based professional wildlife photographer Suzi Eszterhas spends nine months of the year photographing a wide variety of wildlife in the field. In recent years, she has become well known for her unprecedented work with newborn animals. Eszterhas has won numerous international awards, and is a fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers. Her work is published in Digital Camera World, Ranger Rick, BBC Wildlife, and more. Her iconic photograph of a baby emperor penguin was featured on the cover of TIME for the magazine’s climate change issue. Although Eszterhas works primarily in Africa, she has undertaken commissions and led instructional photography workshops everywhere from Antarctica to India, the Arctic to Alaska and Montana. When not on location, she lives in San Rafael, CA.
The EYE ON THE WILD series is Suzi Eszterhas’ inaugural project for Frances Lincoln; CHEETAH and GORILLA are the first two titles in the series, with BROWN BEAR, LION, SEA OTTER and ORANGUTAN coming soon.
