The panel will feature Jeffrey Volk from MLBAM and Vishal Shah from the NFL, who will each discuss their approaches/strategies in working and partnering with entrepreneurial ventures.  Furthermore, they'll focus their perspectives on upcoming trends in the sports space, such as live streaming, mobile, gaming and others.

About the Event Speakers:

Jeffrey Volk is the Vice President of Business Development at MLB Advanced Media, where he focuses on generating new revenues for the game through partnerships across digital, mobile and connected devices. In his current role, Jeff leverages MLB’s vast technology expertise to expand beyond baseball. MLBAM streams more than 18,000 live events each year (10 million multimedia streams per day) across platforms, including MLB.tv, ESPN3, Masters, CBS College Football, and March Madness. Prior to joining MLBAM, Jeff was the President of Digital Media at Athletes’ Performance, where he oversaw strategy and development of the company’s digital properties and partnerships. Previously, he was the Director/GM of Advanced Media at the US Tennis Association (USTA), where he ran 275+ websites and introduced live streaming video to US Grand Slam tennis.  He began his career at Scient and Ketchum, where he helped launch their sports practices. Jeff graduated from University of Pennsylvania and earned his MBA at the NYU Stern School of Business.

Vishal Shah is the VP of Digital Media Business Development at the NFL, where he focuses on developing the strategy and managing the partnership agreements for the NFL's digital media assets. Prior to the NFL, Vishal was a venture capitalist at GGV Capital, focusing his time on mobile and digital media investment opportunities in the US and China. He began his career at investment banking firm Cascadia Capital. Vishal graduated from University of Pennsylvania.
