It's National Mom's Nite Out! Grab a friend and come celebrate with Boston Parent Bloggers! We'll be joining a great literacy organization, Raising a Reader, at our favorite local bookstore, Barefoot Books for a fun evening with friends.

Raising A Reader MA is an evidence-based early literacy organization dedicated to helping parents of young children (newborn to age 5) develop, practice, and maintain habits of reading together at home. Our work, which both increases access to books and offers families tools for strengthening the culture of reading at home, is driven by 25 years of research that shows the single most significant factor affecting a child’s lifelong success is being regularly read to by their parents or other primary adult caregiver before starting kindergarten.
