2012 Annual Conference

 

 

            The Florida Council for Exceptional Children (FCEC) would like to invite you to the 66th Annual FCEC Conference, hosted by Palm Beach Chapter #200, to be held at the Jupiter Beach Resort, Jupiter, FL, on October 25-27, 2012.  The Conference will continue the collaborative efforts with school districts, universities, family organizations in Florida, Florida Association Student CEC, and for the first time, will include the national Division for Learning Disabilities (DLD).  Together we will celebrate our mutual commitment to children and youth with special needs.  There will be nine (9) strands highlighted this year, and in addition a DLD panel presentation

Key Note speakers for this conference will include Dr. Marilyn Friend, International CEC Immediate Past President and current Chair and Professor, Dept. of Specialized Education Services, University of North Carolina, Greensboro, N.C., and Dr.Monica Verra-Tirado,Florida’s new Director of the Bureau of Exceptional Education. Finally, Ms. Haley Moss, one of Florida’s 3 Yes! I Can 2011 winners, whose artwork has been featured on NBC, CNN and PBS, will be highlighted during this conference.
