Aziza – from Montreal, Canada. Aziza is an outstanding oriental dance performer and instructor. Dancing since the age of three, Aziza has a strong background in classical Ballet. After twelve years of ballet study and performance, Aziza began experimenting with other dance forms including African, Modern, Lyrical, jazz, and Tahitian.
In 1988 she was introduced to Middle Eastern Dance and found it to be the ideal medium. Since that time, Aziza has devoted her life to learning, performing, and sharing this ancient art form. Aside from performing, Aziza brings a bounty of experience and many influences to her teaching style.
Aziza's special rapport with her audience keeps her in high demand. Her tasteful, enthusiastic style brings something special to any occasion. She performs to venues from weddings to conventions,k intimate parties to large gatherings. Aziza has also enjoyed giving her time and talent to many charity functions including: The American Diabetes Association, The Aids Project, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, along with a host of others.
Bahaia – from Austin, Texas. Take your preconceptions of elite Egyptian-style belly dancers and throw them out the window! Bahaia redefines elegance in Middle Eastern dance with a sharp twist. Fluid and expressive movement, magnetic stage presence, playful spontaneity, and incomparable musicality are just a few of the many elements that Bahaia has assimilated to form her signature style. Over the past decade, she has focused her talents on promoting the art of belly dance not only through her own performances and classes, but also producer of HOT Seminars and HOT Texas Dance Camp, and as founder and president of the non-profit group, Aria Dance.
Cheryl Bushey – from Lubbock, Texas. Cheryl is an award winning dancer and choreographer who has been training and performing in many forms of dance for over twenty years. Her ballet training is evident in her graceful movements and unique staging. She has spent years studying movement and theory with her mentor Amaya and many various Egyptian instructors. She has incorporated her years of ballet into this in depth study of Egyptian movement to form the elegant and graceful styling that makes her a popular performer across the American Southwest. Cheryl is the owner of Tribal Rhythm Dance Studio and director of Tribal Rhythm and Bastet Dance Troupes. She holds the title of 2005 Desert Star, winning the professional category of the Desert Fire Competition. She dances regularly for restaurants, parties, weddings, night clubs, galas and cultural events.
