ArduinoBasics - Learn the basics of physical computing with Arduino
Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (EDT)
Brooklyn, United States
This is your friendly introductory class to arduino. In this 2.5 hour class we will:
- Learn how to program arduino using the arduino environment
- Wire up a circuit and load up code to make an LED blink
- Try out some physical computing sensors
- Learn how to extend your code with Arduino Libraries
When you leave, you'll have a micro-controller, a mini-USB cable, a power supply and a few programs to play with.
Please be ready to start at 1pm! We find that you will need this time to get through the whole class. Our classes tend to sell out about a week in advance so if you're interested, you may want to sign up early.
Please bring a laptop with the Arduino environment and FTDI drivers preinstalled on it. It's available at http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software.
The class will be taught by NYC Resistor members Max Whitney and Alison Leonard.
