Brewing a Local Beer Workshop

The Monadnock Localvores are hosting a Brewing a Local Beer Workshop on Thursday, September 6 from 6-8pm, in Keene, NH.

This will be a broad overview of brewing beer at home. We will discuss ingredients, equipment, and the brewing process, so that participant will have an understanding of what they need to get started with homebrewing. We’ll also touch on how to grow your own hops and grains for a truly DIY beer.

This indoor class will be held rain or shine at Hannah Grimes Center, 25 Roxbury St, Keene NH 03431.

Presenter: Carl Majewski

Carl is a lifelong beer enthusiast, and while he is by no means a professional brewer, he’s been pretty happy with every batch of beer he has brewed at home over the past 15 years. As an educator with UNH Cooperative Extension, Carl has organized the Growing a Better Beer in the Granite State, bringing together people who are interested in local beers, local farming, and exploring ways one can help the other.

Registration for this workshop is limited.  The sliding scale fee is $5-15; but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Workshop fees support Monadnock Localvore education and scholarship programs.

Thank you for your interest in Monadnock Localvore workshops!
