What: A three-day event to build community around the regional motorcycle & scooter enthusiasts.  Organized by the Cincinnati Café Racers, a local café  and vintage motorcycle enthusiast group, along with assistance from several local clubs.  Bring out your most interesting ride and meet fellow riders, make new friends and hear some great local music.

Who: All motorcycle, scooter, moped and two wheel motor enthusiasts are welcome.  A friendly and respectful environment is desired as both the café motorcycle and scooter crowd locally are often intermixed and friends.

Dates:  June 1st & 2nd, 2012  -  (pre-party May 31st)

Mark your calendars now for the first annual Queen City Mods & Rockers Rally in Cincinnati. This is a Mods versus Rockers style rally for motorcycles and scooters on Saturday June 2nd  and also a Friday night Meet-Up in Over The Rhine.  This is a family friendly ride but a little Scooters versus Motorcyclist humor is appropriate. So gas up your ride and come join us for some fun in the sun!

Group Ride: The event includes a Saturday ride that starts at Fuel Coffee on Riverside with coffee and light food (11am) . The ride has a scooter route and a motorcycle route with a trip across the Anderson Ferry boat on the Ohio river (bring $2 for the ferryman) that meets up in Rabbit Hash Kentucky for a short break. It returns and ends in the neighborhood of Northside at Hoffner Park for food, three live bands, beer, vendors, raffles (good stuff), split the pot, pin-up girl contests, games and some good socializing with like minded two wheelers.

Friday, June 1, 2012 - 7:02 PM

The Friday meetup at MOTR pub in Over The Rhine has begun! Come join us for drink specials and food early.  There is plenty of parking out front (thanks to the city and the efforts of Scooter Dave) and the band begins at 10pm.  The band is Jon Langford & The Skull Orchard.  Jon is also an artist and has a gallery opening tonite from 6-9 on Clay street behind MOTR pub.  Come see the art behind the artist.

You can also pick up your rally bag / tshirt tonite if you like so you don't have to hold onto it tomorrow.  No need to print out tickets from EventBrite as we will check you off the list.

Tomorrow morning the group ride starts at FUEL coffee on Riverside Dr. You can come as early as 8AM and check out the Cars & Coffee event that they hold every Saturday morning.  Check-in to the group ride starts at 9:45am and we'll do announcements at 11:40.  We will depart promptly at noon.   Check in at the registration table to get your swag bag / wrist band (if you don't get it tonite).  The weather should be cool in the morning and going up to 71 degrees. So wear your leather!  There is a slight chance of a passing spotty shower in the afternoon but it should be after the group ride and not enough to stop the show(s).

Thank you for your support and participation in what will become the premier annual motorcycle and scooter rally in the region.  The event is hosted by the Cincinnati Cafe Racer club whose mission it is to build community amoung vintage and cafe style enthusiasts.  A portion of the proceeds benefits the Change of Heart support group who aid and educate heart transplant recipients in our region.  This charity does great work and will be at the rally to showcase their mission.

Tim Burke
