Back to the Future: A Mid-Century Modern Home Tour
Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (EDT)
Indiana Landmarks is hosting its 5th annual tour of mid-century modern homes in Indianapolis, Indiana. Back to the Future: A Mid-Century Modern Home Tour gives attendees the opportunity to look inside homes dating from the 1950s and 1960s, some decorated with vintage furnishings by Knoll and Eames, among others. This year's tour focuses on the northside Indianapolis neighborhoods of Arden and Williams Creek. All proceeds from the event further our organization's efforts to recognize and preserve fine examples from the period statewide.
The home base for the Tour in Indianapolis is Second Presbyterian Church (designed by McGuire, Shook, Compton, Richey & Associates in 1958) where tourgoers can park and catch a shuttle, and/or use restroom facilities. Maps and tour information are available at the church, or can be picked up at each home. A ticket is required for access to the homes.
