THEME DESCRIPTIONS

N*E*W THEME! Brick a Book - Ages 8+

You love writing? You Love Building with LEGO Bricks?  You Love taking Pictures?  This camps is perfect for the creative LEGO lover that has a passion for writting, building and picture taking all in one!  Great time to be the author and illustrator of their very own book.  Kids will work in teams to use LEGO bricks to tell their sotry through pictures, and writting.  At the end of the camp, kids will recieve a copy of their very own book, written and illustrated by them.  

N*E*W THEME! Jr. Robotics - Ages 9+

How would you like to turn your next LEGO creation in a robot, programmed to do exactly what you tell it to do?  Build and program a Roaring Lion, a Hungry Alligator, and other wild creatures! The Bricks 4 Kidz NEW Jr. Robotics camp offers all the fun of building with LEGO Bricks, plus the challenge of computer programming! Kids will learn to use drag-and-drop icon-based software to program their creations.  This camp provides an introduction into the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip children to suceed in a technology-based marketplace.  This fun, action-packed week combines real-life skills with real-kid fun!

Movie Making – Ages 9+

Light, cameras, action! Use LEGO® bricks to tell YOUR story, complete with music, special effects and all your favorite LEGO ®mini-figure characters! In this unique and creative camp, students will plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie using Stop Motion Animation. Working as a team, students will use LEGO®bricks and components to build the set and props, then shoot their movie using a digital camera. Teams will use movie-making software to add special effects, titles, credits and more. When the movie is complete, campers will impress friends and family with a screening party on the last day of camp. Don’t miss your chance to be in the movies!

Our camp themes and activities are specifically designed for children ages 6-12. Your child/children will have barrels of fun (and learn a bunch) as they use LEGO® bricks to explore the world of engineering, architecture and animation movie making through an open, friendly, and team-based environment. Let our trained staff of instructors help give your child/children the ultimate camp experience. 

Age Groups & Activities

Our camps are divided into two age groups: 5-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds. The children generally will work in pairs and build projects through Bricks 4 Kidz® lesson plans and make creations of their own during our free play periods. We also play various games with the children using LEGO® bricks.  Depending on the camp theme, children may work and play with LEGO® bricks along with electric motors, system bricks, and LEGO® Technic pieces (such as gears, axles, and beams).
