SSV Visoin and Mission
Sustainable Silicon Valley (SSV) is a collaboration of businesses, governments, and non-governmental organizations that are identifying and addressing environmental and resource pressures in the Valley. Our initial focus has been voluntary reduction of CO2 emissions. SSV Partners have reduced more than 850,000 tons of CO2 from their operations since SSV's inception in 2001. Water self-sufficiency and a sustainable energy system are additional areas for SSV action in 2009.

Sustainable Silicon Valley envisions a thriving Silicon Valley with a healthy environment, a vibrant economy and a socially equitable community.

Sustainable Silicon Valley is leading the Silicon Valley community to create a more sustainable future. We do this by engaging and collaborating with local government agencies, businesses, and community organizations to identify and help address the highest priority environmental issues in the Valley.

We welcome new organizations., businesses and cities to join us.
