Event Details

Jason Beach will make his third visit to West Virginia University this semester. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Mali as a Water Sanitation Extension Agent. Jason will give an overview of Peace Corps, show a short documentary video depicting service, and have an informal question and answers session. There are currently over 8,000 Peace Corps Volunteers serving in 74 countries. All Peace Corps Volunteers become fluent in a second language and gain two valuable years of international experience.

But Peace Corps Service is also challenging and often requires patience, flexibility, and a strong desire to serve. And it is a unique opportunity to improve the lives of countless others while learning who you are all over again. So come see Jason at this information session to see if this is an opportunity calling you.

Peace Corps or Graduate School? Two unique programs offer the best of both worlds. Peace Corps has established partnerships with colleges and universities across the United States that offer academic credit and financial incentives to Volunteers during or after Peace Corps service.
