Creating Five Alarm Concepts
Foundational methods to ignite your creativity
Space is limited. Purchase your tickets today.
Please join us as we welcome Von Glitschka, an illustrative designer based in Salem, Oregon. Von's diverse capabilities include brand identity, iconography, illustration, lettering, character design, art direction, concepting and pattern design for corporations, advertising agencies, marketing firms, and small business.
About the topic: Learn how to think through and approach your design ideas, cultivating concepts, exploring insights, deriving context, and doing so through clever methods, so you can uncover that conceptual jewel of a great idea and ignite your creative process and build upon it successfully moving forward.
1. Defining and mapping the often nebulous process of idea generation.
2. Systematic methods to augment and expand your own creative process.
3. Practical methodology to become a better thinking designer.
Design follows idea. Therefore the foundation for good design is only as strong as the underlying concept.
LOCATION: Tapwerks Ale House and Cafe -- Bricktown
(121 East Sheridan Avenue)
WHEN: Friday, April 13th at 11:30 am — 1:15 pm.
Everyone is welcome.
About the speaker: Von is principal of Glitschka Studios and has worked in the communication arts industry for over 23 years. His work reflects the symbiotic relationship between design and illustration. This duality of skills within his own creative arsenal, inspired him to coin the phrase and title of “Illustrative Designer.”
In 2002, he founded Glitschka Studios, a multi-disciplinary creative firm. The studio shines as a hired gun for ad agencies, medium to large design firms, and in-house corporate art departments working on a diverse range of illustrative design projects.
His exuberant graphics have garnered numerous design and illustration awards and have appeared in such publications as Communication Arts, Print, HOW Design, Society of Illustrators, Graphis, American Illustration, and Logo Lounge II, III, IV and V.
