Course Description
Thousands of patients have benefited from dental implant therapy.  Unfortunately, many misconceptions exist about implant dentistry.  These misconceptions often prevent many practices from offering an implant option to patients.  Similarly, many patients do not ask about dental implants because they feel they are not good candidates for treatment.  This course will review contemporary implant treatment and dispel many of the myths surrounding dental implants.  In addition, the whole dental team will learn to identify appropriate patients and develop case presentation strategies to convey the benefits of implant therapy.  Participants will learn the common reasons patients often refuse dental implants, and why practices that have successfully incorporated dental implants into their practice might be right next door to your practice, treating the same patient population you see!

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will:

·         Understand implant therapy in 2009:  What treatment options have advanced, what have we left behind

·         Learn the major benefits of dental implant therapy:  What do we tell our patients?

·         Develop a treatment philosophy for the whole dental team, using an evidence-based approach

·         Learn the most important ways to get the whole office excited about  making dental implants a beneficial treatment option for your patients

Presented by: Ivy Batos, D.M.D.
