Kathi Rolls In Two Ways & Bhapa Doi
Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM (PDT)
Mountain View, United States
- Bhapa Doi
- Multilayered Breads
- Vegetable Filling
- Paneer Filling
- Accompanying Filling Preparation
As you walk into the class, you’ll be greeted with some hot chai.
Kathi Rolls are multilayered handmade breads filled with various fillings. It is an Indian favorite and is fast becoming a Bay Area favorite. Now you can learn to make your own Kathi Rolls! The breads are delicious all on their own, but there’s no stopping them with some delicious fillings in them.
We’ll be making the bread from whole wheat flour (yes, healthy indeed) and cook vegetables and paneer (milk cheese) to their fullest deliciousness. At the very end, we’ll get creative making our own kathi rolls with our choice of main filling and a number of accompanying fillings.
The dessert of choice for our class is ‘Bhapa Doi’ – sweet and sour steamed yogurt, a regional Bengali dessert that isn’t found at any Indian restaurant that I know of.
CAUTION: for REAL food lovers only!
Address to the class will be provided after registration.
