Simple Gifts Concert Series: The Canterbury Shaker Singers
Sunday, August 5, 2012, 3:00 pm,
An authentic event originating with the Shakers themselves, in celebration of Shaker leader Mother Ann Lee’s arrival in America in 1774. Enjoy a concert of inspired Shaker music performed by the Canterbury Shaker Singers, followed by complimentary Shaker rosewater cake and tea. Tickets $17 for adults, $8 for children age 6-17; children 5 and under attend free; family rate available. Concert ticket includes museum pass. Open seating, and tickets are first come, first serve.
We invite our Village Visionary members to reserve their seats by calling Sally Stanton at least 2 days before the concert at 783-9077 X 285.
*The first 40 people to register for the Mother Ann Day festivities may also register for a special yoga class at 1pm that day. Price of class is included in your admission ticket. Members are free.
Come join us for a yoga class that will energize your soul, clear your mind, and set a great intention for the day ahead with an open heart and a strong body. The class will include warm-ups, standing poses for strength, seated poses for flexibility, foward bends for nurturing the mind/body, and breath awareness for energy and renewal. All levels are welcome. We will allow for a brief period of practice meditation at the end of class.
