Event Details

The Great Cajun Cook-off and Food Fest, as presented by Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold,  is an annual fundraiser for the Cajun Cactus Foundation and its chosen charities.  This casual, family friendly event features an amateur gumbo, jambalaya, and open cajun dish competition as well as a Food Fest - - the best Cajun and Southern Fare from restaurants across the Valley! In addition, it promises the best assortment of Southern musical entertainment, including zydeco, jazz, blues, and roots rock. Children's entertainment will be provided.

Please feel free to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the day "festival style" with your friends and family. This event is a pay one price for entry and food samples styled event. Each ticketholder will receive samples of all dishes from both amateurs and the restaurants participating in the food fest as well as complimentary soft drinks and water.  Additional costs to the ticketholders is limited to beer tickets for those 21 of age and over (3 for $10) and a crawfish plate for those interested in partaking of our favorite cajun delicacy (price TBD closer to event).
