Tony will talk about how risk management can play an important role in the success of a new business. He will highlight key risks faced by new entrepreneurs and some risk mitigation techniques they should be aware of. Some of the key risks covered will  include, contractual liability and,  IT ownership while risk mitigation techniques discussed will included risk transfer and insurance.

As Manager, Risk and Insurance for Carleton University, Tony's responsibilities include oversight of the university’s risk management plan, including its annual risk assessment and business continuity efforts. In addition, Tony is an instructor with the Insurance Institute of Canada and the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University.

Tony is a Fellow of the Global Risk Management Institute, holds the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation and is a Fellow Certified Insurance Professional. He is an active member of the Risk and Insurance Managers Society and is currently chapter Past-President
