Speaker: John Fea, Ph.D.
John Fea, Ph.D., teaches American History at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. He has written extensively for both scholarly and popular audiences and speaks regularly to church groups, educators, and historical societies and organizations. He is a writer for the nationally syndicated History News Service and blogs regularly at "The Way of Improvement Leads Home." Fea is the author of *The Way of Improvement Leads Home: Philip Vickers Fithian and the Enlightenment in America* (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2009), the story of how an ordinary Christian farmer responded to the changes in American life resulting from the American Revolution. He is currently completing two books: *Was America Founded as a Christian Nation?: A Historical Primer for Christians* (Westminster/John Knox Press, 2010) and *Confessing History: Christian Faith and the Historian's Vocation* (University of Notre Dame Press, 2010).
