Event Details

Operating a building has become an increasingly complex endeavor. With the growing awareness of sustainable practices, building occupants have higher expectations of workplace environments. At the same time, the rising costs of resources place extreme pressure on building owners, facility managers and property managers to operate buildings at top performance levels while keeping their operating costs low. The key to a building owner’s success lies in surmounting these challenges.

Using LEED-EB OM certification as the potential goal, this presentation will introduce you to the various necessary steps to minimize an existing buildings environmental impact and operating expenses.

Join us as Elaine Aye, a Principal of Green Building Services’ Portland, OR office, and a USGBC LEED faculty member presents the Steps to understanding your building’s performance: Internalizing practices of Sustainability.

In addition, Ivette Sanchez with the OUC Department of Conservation and Renewables will provide an overview of the OUC commercial incentives that are available for existing buildings in Orlando.
