Combining presentations from local experts along with interactive exercises and opportunities for peer learning, this session will assist staff in helping families gain access to Social Security benefits.

 

 Who Should Come?

 

Direct Services Staff working with low income families

Participants will:

  • Learn about the different types of Social Security
  • Learn who is eligible to receive Social Security
  • Learn how receiving Social Security affects your eligibility for other public benefits

Formed in 2007, the Family Economic Success Workgroup seeks to help public departments collaborate with each other and partner with community agencies in order to help meet the needs of low and moderate income families. This workshop series covers a range of economic supports available to families in San Francisco.
