Topic

Bioscience Regions in the U.S.
Trends, Best Practices and Competitive Strategies

This SoCalBio Networking Forum will focus on the findings of the recent 2012 Battelle/BIO State Bioscience Industry Development Report. This is the only comprehensive study that tracks the development of the various segments of the US bioscience industry -- drugs, devices, bioscience R&D, medical testing laboratories and Agbio --  at the regional level. The study incorporates recent industry performance data for the US bioscience industry which will be utilized to assess  the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the biosciences in the Greater Los Angeles region.

Given that Los Angeles County has engaged Battelle’s Technology Partnership Practice to assist in the development of a strategic plan for advancing biosciences development in the County, you will have an opportunity during this forum to be part of the discussion regarding how to accelerate the growth of bioscience industry development with a particular focus on how to leverage the presence of the world class academic research base in the County.
