RiverQuest Explorer Open House and Teacher "Happy Hours" are for principals, administrators, PTA/PTO representatives, and community and business leaders with interest in RiverQuest and the new green vessel Explorer. Teachers can earn three Act 48 hours in a concurrent session as they learn about RiverQuest course concepts, teaching methods, and green-boat designing processes. Events are scheduled on the third Tuesday evening of each month, include light refreshments (and non-alcoholic beverages!) and are exclusively for adults.
Please note, this event is held onboard the vessel Explorer at dock. There is a $5 charge to park in Carnegie Science Center lots.
RiverQuest is a river-based non-profit education organization that operates a fleet of floating laboratories based near Carnegie Science Center on Pittsburgh's North Shore.
