All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course and the corresponding evaluation designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.

Course Details 

The ScrumMaster Certification is a 2-day course introducing the concepts of the Scrum, the most popular Agile framework. Scrum is a deceptively simple framework and you will quickly learn about its roles, artifacts and process. However, its adaptive nature and impact on traditional organizational models and ways of working requires a fundamental grasp of the underlying principles for a truly successful implementation. We use an unconventional approach to training that allows you to take command of your learning. Through discovery and exploration, you will not find a dull moment.

Audience

Despite its name, this course is not just for ScrumMasters but is an effective primer for anyone who will be closely involved with teams adopting Scrum, including Project & Program Managers, Product Owners, IT managers, and Senior Developers.

Certification 

After taking this course, students are eligible to take a 60 question online exam within 90 days of the course to earn the certification. At this time, all students will be given a passing grade on the Certified ScrumMaster exam as the Scrum Alliance verifies appropriate exam questions and course content. Instructor 

Tom Mellor - Certified Scrum Trainer and past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Scrum Alliance. He started his Scrum journey in 2004 while helping a very large Insurance company (a Fortune 50 company based in Bloomington, IL) to get better at their product development using Agile principles and practices and Scrum. He has been the champion for change in that company ever since. In addition, he has trained over 1600 of professionals in Scrum. Devon Morris is a CSM that has worked with a number of large organizations and assisted in their adoption and use of Scrum and agile practices.  Devon used Scrum as a developer in 2000 and received his Scrum training from Ken Schwaber in 2005.
