The 10th Annual Muslims In Memphis Present
Muslims in Memphis (MIM) would like formally invite you to the premiere of the movie "Fordosn" at the Rose theatre University of Memphis, on March 17, 2012. The Award winning documentary film Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football follows a predominately Arab-American high school football team from a working-class Detroit suburb as they practice for the big game during the last ten days of Ramadan, revealing a community holding onto its Islamic faith while they struggle for acceptance in post 9/11 America.
Through the eyes of the team, their coaches, and their fans, Fordson offers an unprecedented glimpse inside the lives of a community that is home to the largest concentration of Arabs in any city outside of the Middle East, and their determination to hold on to the American Dream.
Followed by Special Appearances and Post-Screening Q&A with
Rashid Ghazi (Film Director),
Fouad Zaban (Fordson Football Coach)
