A persuasive salesperson sells more. The same goes for your website. If it engages your visitors, addresses their points of interest, allays their fears and really shows the value of your product in their terms, then you're well on the way to turning more visitors into customers. Yet so many websites are out of tune with their customers. The result for customers is like a salesperson that dresses poorly, speaks jargon, has no personality and doesn't answer their questions. The result for your business is lost opportunity.
But it doesn't have to be like that. I'll show you the main techniques that I use with my clients to make their websites persuasive, engage their customers and dramatically increase their leads and online transactions. I'll also show you specific design ideas and a few classic examples of what not to do.
About the speaker
Ken is Senior User Experience Designer at LeftClick and has been designing successful websites for over a decade. He specialises in architecting both ecommerce and lead generation websites.
Ken joined LeftClick after returning from his (belated) OE. He has worked for 10 years in web roles covering user experience, business analysis and project management in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and in firms ranging from universities to small internet startups. He main interest is in turning good websites into great ones through the application of proven design patterns and customer research insights.
In 2008, Ken founded London IA, London’s largest network of 700+ user experience professionals. Ken has a Bachelor of Commerce and Applied Computing from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
