Water and Power - Director’s Sneak Preview of a Work in Progress
Set in present-day Los Angeles, this gritty and powerful story of two Latino brothers -- one a dirty cop the other a rising politician -- pushes the genre of action thriller to complex psychological heights. Water and Power is wonderfully dense with poetic and witty dialogue referencing everything from Aztec gods to the gentrification of Echo Park to big city ethnic politics. Water and Power was developed at the prestigious Sundance Filmmakers Lab from an original play by Culture Clash writer/director Richard Montoya.
