Please join Glenn Crothers for a book discussion of Kentucky Rising: Democracy, Slavery, and Culture From the Early Republic to the Civil War by James A. Ramage and Andrea S. Watkins. This book offers a new look at Kentucky history in the 60 years prior to the start of the Civil War.

Dr. A. Glenn Crothers is the Director of Research at The Filson Historical Society and an associate professor history at the University of Louisville. His research interests include southern United States History before 1865.
