Event Details

From February 24 through March 4, passionate citizens around the country will come together to “Code Across America” – to make their cities even better using people and the power of the web. In over a dozen cities, there will be hackathons to build civic apps, “brigades” to deploy existing ones, unconferences to plan for the year ahead, and meetups to strengthen the community.

Here in San Francisco we're staffing and hacking on the Brigade "hub," the program and platform that will support a nation of civic hackers. 2011 Fellows will be on site and online to help cities deploy apps. We're manning IRC channels and Google Hangouts to collaborate and coordinate in real time. We may even hack on our web platform a bit.

Please join us for an open house day of civic innovation at our new office. Stop by to see what's happening across the country. Set goals and plan brigade activities for San Francisco. Hack on your favorite civic app or data set.
