Event Details

The first Harmonie Hundred bike tour place in 1992. Since that first weekend, several thousand cyclists have discovered the unique history and quaint charm of New Harmony, Indiana. Our historic community will once again be the host for the fourteenth annual Harmonie Hundred. This small community of 850, located in southwestern Indiana, is a great location for a beautiful and enjoyable weekend of biking, searching for antiques, browsing other specialty shops, or learning more about the two historic experiments in living, which took place in New Harmony during the 1800's.

Harmonie Hundred

Members of the New Harmony community organize and present the Harmonie Hundred. All proceeds from the Harmonie Hundred go to help fund a unique and educational experience for the students of New Harmony High School. Scheduled around a special and historical day every four years, school staff take the entire student body from New Harmony High School to the Inauguration of the President of the United States in Washington, DC. As a follow-up to pre-trip class activities, and while in our nation's capital, students participate in a wreath ceremony at Arlington Cemetery, and conduct a memorial service at the Vietnam Memorial for a former graduate of the High School. On the return trip, students visit Economy, Pennsylvania, the location of the resettlement of the Harmonists after leaving New Harmony
