Hear a practical, interactive conversation with experienced investors and a successful serial entrepreneur which addresses the key challenges and success factors of raising capital for social ventures. Peter Strugatz (Strugatz Ventures), Taylor Jordan (Imprint Capital) and Michael Whelchel (Watershed Capital Group) will share tips on the art and science of communicating a compelling investment opportunity.

Peter is President of Strugatz Ventures where his company has invested in several social purpose companies including Stonyfield Farm Yogurt, Zipcar, Wild Planet Toys, and Utah Ventures. He has extensive experience in raising capital, increasing equity value, revenue growth, strategic relationships and social entrepreneurship.

Taylor Jordan has spent the last 9 years in the impact investment space. Mr. Jordan co-founded Imprint Capital in 2007. Imprint Capital Advisors is a mission-driven organization focused on helping clients successfully develop and execute strategies that leverage their capital for impact. Taylor works with a six-person investment team to identify and diligence opportunities across asset classes and issue areas. Prior to Imprint, he served as Director of Investments at RSF Social Finance, a $125 million social finance organization. At RSF, Taylor oversaw capital markets and designed and managed a $40 million impact investment program.

Michael has sixteen years' experience financing, acquiring, selling, growing, and operating small and middle market companies. His experience has included start-ups and later-stage companies in a range of industries. He has played key roles in the early stages of two investment firms both focused on middle market companies. In these roles, he has managed the full investment process including sourcing, deal structure, due diligence, negotiations, financing, portfolio management, sales on the exit, and fund raising.
