Event Details
This professional two-day workshop for nurses combines science-based nutrition with the art of nutritional coaching.
Our unique program is designed to bring cutting-edge nutritional information and coaching skills together, offering practical tools that can be implemented into all healthcare settings and populations.
This workshop brings a functional medicine paradigm into an Integrative Functional Health Model (IFHM), as viewed through a Nurse Coach lens, for enhancing wellness in individuals and communities.
We will learn to use a Functional Health Matrix that integrates biochemical individuality and the interconnectedness of the body-mind, spirit-culture, and the environment to deepen understanding of nutrition and its impact on all aspects of one’s health, as well as to provide a comprehensive approach to individualized patient-centered care.

Organizer
International Nurse Coach Association (INCA)
The International Nurse Coach Association (INCA) recognizes and supports Nurse Coaches, local to global, who are integrating coaching skills and competencies into all healthcare settings.
INCA is an organization that was created with the vision of sharing the unique role of Nurse Coaches who assist individuals, groups and communities in realizing and reaching their health potential and goals.
Our INCA philosophy encompasses an understanding that the Nurse Coach honors the whole person using principles and modalities that integrate body-mind-emotion-spirit-environment, and respects all beliefs and cultures as essential components of health and well-being.
Nurse Coaches know that their relationships with their patients and clients are essential for effective coaching. Nurse Coaches establish a co-creative partnership and together identify the patient's or client’s priorities and areas for change.
Nurse Coaching skills are grounded in the change process, and Nurse Coaches recognize that effective change evolves from within the individual before it can be manifested and maintained externally.
INCA supports Nurse Coaches in incorporating self-development and self-care into their personal practices, in order to ensure they are able to be fully present and in the best condition to engage in, and enhance the health and healing process in others.
