Jodi Kantor: Faith in the Obamas

Join Jodi Kantor, New York Times correspondent and author of the best selling biography The Obamas, and Rabbi Dan Ain for a discussion about the role that faith has played in the public and private life of the first family; from the faith that they share, to the faith that other's think they share, to the faith that many have placed in them.

Kantor, who has been covering the Obamas since 2007, began her journalism career by dropping out of Harvard Law School to join Slate.com in 1998. Four years later she became the Arts & Leisure editor of the New York Times, the youngest person in memory to edit a section of the newspaper. She is a recipient of a Columbia Young Alumni Achievement Award, was named to Crain’s “Forty Under Forty” list of New Yorkers, and appears regularly on television.

“The book seems to portray Michelle Obama as a complex yet human individual, struggling with this unbelievable situation yet remaining the moral compass and center of an administration trying to find its footing. I guess the only thing I would say to you is, how dare you?" - Jon Stewart
