Program Information:

Are you a Baby Boomer, Generation Xer, or Echo Boomer?  What differences do we have based on the year you were born?  Generational differences can cause unique challenges within an organization.  The Generations will offer powerful insights into who today’s generation are, what defines them, what motivates them and how to work with them.  Plan to join us for this unique opportunity to network, learn, explore, discuss and debate generational issues in the workplace.

Speaker:

Erica P. Flukinger, Talent Development Manager, Oshkosh Corporation

Erica, a native Texan, attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from TCU in Fort Worth, Texas with two bachelor’s degrees, one in psychology and one in mathematics.  While at TCU she was actively engaged in social and cognitive psychological research and the study of advanced quantitative methods.  A love of leadership brought her to begin her career in executive development at the Tandy Center for Executive Leadership at TCU’s Neeley School of Business, working with such clients as Bell Helicopter, BNSF, Mary Kay, PepsiCo, & TTI.  She earned her Executive Coaching Certification in 2008, the youngest ever to be certified, and is an active member of the Sherpa Coaching Community.  She furthered her career at the Acme Brick Company, the largest American-owned brick manufacturer, and Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary in human resources, obtaining her SPHR in 2010.

While working Erica began to notice the generational discord between seasoned managers and emerging employees.  She developed her first “millennial message” for the 2008 National Sherpa Executive Coaching Conference.  It was given at the conclusion of the conference to Sherpa coaches from around the world. Since that time her materials have been seen by numerous audiences across the country, from the Wharton School of Business to Toyota North America.

Erica currently works in talent development at the corporate offices of Oshkosh Corporation.  She collaboratively focuses on the strategic direction and deployment of all talent development initiatives for the enterprise including succession management, goal management, performance management, employee development, executive coaching, and the internal leadership academy.
